I'm working on a series of posts regarding healing. I want to make it clear before In start posting anything up that I do not know everything about healing, and I will not pretend to. This topic in itself is very broad, and is easily open to misinterpretation. As a result, some people may start commenting of my beliefs on the subject before I have finished explaining it. So please wait for me to complete the whole thing before delving in. I want to try and cover as much scripture as possible, so if you think I may have missed something out, please let me know... and yes this is controversial, so please don't start planning a flame war!

Keeping Tabs...
There are a heck of a lot of doctrines floating around the body of Christ these days, some are standard (i.e. the Trinity) however there are a heck of a lot of doctrines I've discovered that are not productive, a lot that are theoretical, a lot that make no common sense when you start questioning them, and a lot that have no or very little foundation in the word of God. A big problem is that I have been brought up on quite a few believes that have done nothing but hinder my relationship with God.
The last 2 years of my life, I have been following the teachings of Andrew Wommack, and listening to his free downloads on various subjects. What I love about his teachings is that it's completely flooded with verse after verse of the Bible, and that he has made more sense out of the Bible than anyone else I have ever listened to. He has helped me recognise and deal with practically all of the wrong thinking and attitudes that I have been brought up on, and has created in me an incredible desire to learn more about God's word, and develop my relationship with Him. I have finally discovered what the "Good News" is all about that Jesus spoke of, and it has completely changed my life.
But I've hit this problem! I discuss various doctrines with my friends and family, and as I listen to them, some of them get me down and disturb me. So I may be slow to work things out for myself, but I have finally come to the decision.... What I believe now is great and really beneficial to my life with God. If someone suggests a doctrine to me...
1) I will weigh it up against what the Bible says, and place it into context with the Redemption that Jesus provided.
2) I will see if it will benefit my current relationship with Christ or if it will get in the way.
3) I will weigh it up in my spirit, and listen to if the Holy Spirit confirms or rejects it.
Once I check it over with this, I will either accept it, and let it start to benefit my life, or reject it and deny it any further in-roads into my life.
Right now, I've set the bar against everything is measured as pretty high! In regards to the teachings of Andrew Wommack, and so far I have found very little that I have a problem with. They way my life has been turned around is a testament to that. Some thing you should consider is this... if you are doing better than I am in your relationship with God, then maybe you have something I could learn from. If not, then maybe you should take some pointers from either Andrew or myself.
